OBJECTIVE
Two years later, Gorlwyth Part 2 aimed to push the boundaries of immersive theater focusing on enhancing audience engagement and accessibility within the technology.
One of our primary objectives was to leverage technological advancements since the first R&D project to create a more dynamic and interactive live performance experience with the immersive team.
SOLUTION
To achieve our goals, we developed a mixed reality experience featuring a forest scene where live performers interacted with virtual elements, creating a visually rich environment.
We designed ergonomic handle prototypes for the Oculus Quest 3 headset, offering a more comfortable alternative to traditional head straps for passive VR experiences.
Additionally, we created a virtual reality experience for remote viewers by exporting and editing 360-degree footage to ensure high-resolution compatibility, integrating titles and transitions to blend into the digital worlds seamlessly.
AI was used to craft immersive 360-degree worlds, enriching the audience's virtual experience with dynamic environments.

THE RESULT
Gorlwyth Part 2 marks a significant step forward in immersive theatre exploration.
By strategically integrating Quest 3 and real-time motion tracking technology into the project, we anticipate a positive impact on audience engagement and accessibility apon launch.
These innovations aim to establish Gorlwyth as a leader in inclusive and immersive theatre experiences, with the potential to influence the future of live performances.
